About The Role

**VAT Manager - Financial Services**

Central London | Hybrid Working (3 Days in Office) | Up to £80,000 + Bonus (Total Earnings can be up to £95,000)

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a VAT Manager to join the London tax team of a leading global financial services organisation. This varied role offers an excellent balance of VAT compliance and advisory work, providing exposure to complex UK and international indirect tax matters across the EMEA and APAC regions. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, supporting strategic projects while helping to maintain a robust VAT control environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Review UK and international VAT/GST returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide technical VAT advice on business transactions, new initiatives, and operational matters.
- Manage and review partial exemption calculations, including oversight of the Partial Exemption Special Method (PESM).
- Review engagement letters and advise deal teams on VAT implications and risk areas.
- Support VAT-related projects, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
- Act as a key point of contact for the business on indirect tax matters.
- Mentor and develop a VAT Associate, while providing support and cover for the Head of VAT when required.

**About You**

- Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT legislation and practice.
- Proven Financial Services VAT experience is essential.
- Solid understanding of partial exemption methodologies and PESM.
- Professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
- Exposure to EU VAT and wider international indirect tax regimes would be advantageous.
