About The Role
Our client is currently hiring a Junior Finance Manager. This role suits a part-qualified accountant looking to join a growing, multi-brand, service-led business in Central London. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a broad, hands-on finance role responsible for management reporting, financial operations, forecasting, cash flow, and maintaining strong financial controls.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working across both management accounting and transactional finance, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare weekly KPI reporting and monthly management accounts.
- Analyse P&L performance against budget, prior year and forecast.
- Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Manage cash flow reporting and monitor expected receipts and payments.
- Oversee revenue recognition, including deferred income and multi-period services.
- Prepare VAT returns and supporting reconciliations.
- Manage overdue customer balances and support cash collection.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the accounting system.
- Monitor finance policies, approval processes and internal controls.
- Support year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements.
- Provide finance guidance and support to non-finance teams.
- Assist with transactional finance activities during busy periods, including supplier invoices, customer invoicing, bank reconciliations, payment runs and expenses.
**We’re looking for someone with:**
- Experience with an SME, previously as Finance Manager, Management Accountant or similar experience.
- AAT qualification, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong management accounting fundamentals.
- Experience with month-end, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, forecasting and cash flow.
- Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups and SUMIFS. Power Query would be advantageous.
- Strong experience with Xero or a comparable accounting system.

**Salary:** Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications
**Location:** Victoria, Central London
**Working pattern:** Hybrid – initially 4–5 days in the office for training, reducing to approximately 2–3 days per week once established
**Hours:** Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
