About The Role
FP&A Manager / Finance Business Partner
London (Hybrid) | 6-Month Initial Contract
£500 - £550 p/day
We are partnering with a high-growth, project-led business to appoint an experienced FP&A Manager / Finance Business Partner. This is a highly visible role with responsibility for driving budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and commercial analysis across the organisation. This is a broad role spanning financial planning & analysis, business partnering, forecasting, investment appraisal and commercial decision support.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will act as a trusted finance partner, providing insight and challenge to support decision-making, investment activity, and future growth. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve quickly, and finance plays a critical role in shaping business performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Develop and maintain integrated financial models covering P&L, cash flow, and key business drivers
- Produce monthly forecasts and analysis, identifying key variances, risks, and opportunities
- Deliver high-quality management reporting and financial performance insights to senior stakeholders
- Support the month-end process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Build scenario models and sensitivity analysis to support strategic and commercial decisions
- Partner with budget holders to improve forecasting accuracy and accountability for financial performance
- Challenge expenditure, investment proposals, and business cases to support informed decision-making
- Support evaluation of strategic projects, investment opportunities, and business initiatives
- Prepare financial analysis and reporting for leadership, board, and investor audiences where required
- Drive improvements in reporting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Act as a key link between finance and operational teams, helping translate financial data into actionable insights
Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven experience in FP&A, commercial finance, finance business partnering, or a related role
- Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills
- Experience owning or leading budgeting and forecasting processes
- Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Experience operating within a fast-paced, high-growth, project-led, or capital-intensive environment would be advantageous
