A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Manager Financial Reporting to join their technical accounting team on a 12-month contract, inside IR35. This role sits firmly on the technical accounting side; this is not a journals or general ledger position. The successful candidate will play a key role in the organisation's transition to Business as Usual (BAU), working closely with finance and reporting teams during this period of change.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Support and manage the transition to BAU from a technical accounting perspective
- Apply strong technical knowledge of IFRS9 and financial asset classes
- Keep pace with and apply changes in accounting standards
- Provide technical reporting support across investment accounting matters
- Contribute to hedge accounting activity as this area develops within the business

**What We're Looking For:**

- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CAANZ) ideally from an audit background in financial services
- Strong technical accounting background with solid IFRS and GAAP knowledge (US GAAP desired)
- Financial services background with investment accounting experience
- Strong technical reporting experience
- Experience with hedge accounting is a strong plus, but not essential
- Investment accounting experience is a plus, but not essential
