Syndicate Accountant - 12 Month FTC

We're supporting a Lloyd's managing agency on the appointment of a Syndicate Accountant. This is a great opportunity for a technically strong accountant to step into a market-leading Lloyd's business and make an immediate impact.

The business

Our client is an established, well-regarded Lloyd's managing agency with a strong reputation across the London market. They're a stable, technically-driven finance function that takes real pride in the quality of its reporting.

The role

You'll take ownership of the technical accounting and reporting for one or more syndicates, working closely with the wider finance team through a busy reporting cycle. Day to day you can expect to:

- Prepare and review quarterly and annual syndicate accounts in line with Lloyd's requirements
- Manage Lloyd's returns and other regulatory reporting deadlines
- Support the year-end audit process, liaising with auditors and actuarial teams
- Assist with technical accounting queries, reserving interfaces, and reinsurance accounting
- Contribute to process improvement across the reporting cycle

What we're looking for

- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Solid experience in Lloyd's syndicate or London market insurance accounting
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and comfort working to tight reporting deadlines
- A proactive, detail-focused approach and confidence working cross-functionally

What's on offer

- £80,000-£85,000
- 12 month fixed-term contract
